Date Night comes in many forms from romantic dinners together at the new up and coming restaurant, dancing the night away in an ultra swanky nightclub or even a night in; drinking wine, cooking and laughing the night away. Over the last few months between work, wedding planning and other obligations our date nights have been put to the wayside. Three weeks ago we were married and with the wedding over; we got back A LARGE portion of our lives that we dedicated to wedding planning.
Our first date night as a married couple was extra special. It came in the form of our two favorite performers at the Verizon Center in some of the best seats in the house. Yup, Jay Z and Kanye West were in town for the Watch the Throne Concert! We sang along, danced in our seats and had one of the best nights out in a long time!
During the concert we quickly realized just how important it is to take one night away from our hectic schedules to simply relax and enjoy each others company; to understand and realize the reason we got married. To hold each others hand, look into each others eyes and realize that this is what love is all about. It’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life. The days really do pass by quicker than we know. So as we sang along to Big Pimpin we couldn’t help smile, this is exactly what we needed 🙂
