Over the years Karishma was set up on a few blind dates that never even amounted to a second date; and some – quite honestly didn’t even make it out of the first course. She had a wild spirit – who loved football, spontaneous trips, amazing food and a zest for life. Yet – every date she had been set up on was buttoned up and simply not her. So when Karishma’s dearest and oldest friend wanted to set her up – she was a little skeptical. One because it was her mother meddling in her love life and two she truly didn’t think her mom could find the man that she wanted to marry.
But she humbly agreed to talk to the man that her mom was over the moon excited about and give this guy a shot. Soon Drew and Karishma started e-mailing, texting, facebooking and calling each other; even with the time difference they were always in each other’s lives – learning about the other – laughing, joking and enjoying every moment they spent talking to each other. After a few weeks – Drew had enough and wanted to meet the women who had already won his heart.
And so he flew up to Philadelphia to meet the women he was crazy over – in a crowded bar on the outskirts of Philly – over shots, great music, fantastic food and a night that never ended. They laughed, cried, joked and embraced each other’s company and although neither believed in love at first sight – they both knew they met the loves of their lives.
Fast forward a little over a year, thousands of airline miles, a Vegas Wedding/Bachelorette party (inspired by Hangover the movie) and Karishma and Drew aptly known as Drishma were at it again. Ready to be married in front of their family and friends. Their Traditional Hindu Wedding mixed with Texas Traditions and a love for the Philadelphia Eagles took place at the Chase Center on the River Front. Their families and friends embraced their love and echoed it back as they laughed, danced, cried and partied the night away.
