He had seen her before, briskly walking down the hallway on her way to a client meeting. She instantly caught his eye, she was beautiful and her smile was contagious. He wanted to get to know her, eager to learn her name and why he had never seen her before, but today would not be the day. Weeks went by and he would occasionally run into her in the elevator or in the lobby but he was never able to work up the courage to start a conversation with her.
It was a Monday morning and he was running late to a mandatory firm sponsored training class. As he entered the classroom he quickly scanned the room and noticed that there were no available seats. He scanned again and his heart nearly skipped a beat as he found the one empty seat in the room and it happened to be next to her. He hesitated at first, nervous and excited at the same time, as he sauntered over to the empty seat next to the beautiful girl.
To this day he has no idea what the topic of the training was. He has no idea what was discussed, simply that he was finally able to work up the courage to ask the pretty girl what her name was. While Anjali and Gaurav did not exchange contact information at this training session, it was here that he finally learned her name and followed up with an e-mail later that day. They exchanged several e-mails and Gaurav finally asked Anjali out on their first date to Rasika. From this point onwards, they were inseparable.
We had an absolute blast photographing Anjali and Gaurav’s engagement session at Meridian Hill Park and the Georgetown Waterfront, overlooking the location were Gaurav proposed to Anjali, the Kennedy Center. We laughed and shared stories from our college days and wedding planning. You always know you’ve had an amazing session when your face hurts from smiling and laughing so much.
