He first noticed her in his Business Statistics class, for him the easiest class of his hectic semester. While the professor wrote formulas and problem sets on the board he stared. Stared at the way her eyes would lighten up when she knew the answer to the professor’s question. Stared at how she effortlessly took notes and smiled at classmates. There she was, beautiful, elegant and witty. Day in and day out he saw her but wasn’t able to work up the confidence to talk to her, what would he say? How would she react? Finally he couldn’t take it anymore; he had to make the first move. He approached her after class and asked her if she was interested in joining an acappella group on campus. She was interested, they exchanged numbers and have been inseparable ever since.
Surya and Prithvi’s beautiful engagement session took place in the big apple, their new home. The two recently took made a huge change in their lives and moved away from the comfort and proximity of close family and friends to further their career goals. While they’re still settling in to the hustle and bustle of city life, the dynamic of their relationship is stronger than ever.
Prithvi always seems to know what Surya wants and needs even before she realizes it herself. From packing her a comfortable pair of shoes to buying her cold water and sugarpatch kids, he’s always a step ahead. He knows exactly what will make her smile, laugh and be happy. It’s no wonder they’re getting married, Surya and Prithvi really are a match made in heaven.
We began Surya and Prithvi’s exciting engagement session in Hoboken, NJ at sunrise. Yep, sunrise. Surya looked stunning as her red sari glittered in the sun. They smiled, posed and began counting down to one the happiest days of their lives. After a quick clothing change we made our way into New York City and into Central Park. The weather was perfect, no paper towel blotting cloth required this time!
We sauntered around Central Park and finally made our way to the busy streets outside the Apple Store. Our fun loving couple changed into Redskins jerseys and we playfully poked fun at Giants fans. We posed with the NYPD and skipped down the streets.
Surya and Prithvi we had so much fun with you two in NYC, we cannot wait until your amazing July wedding!!
Prithvi is a die hard redskins fan, and so he thought “What better place to wear a redskins jersey than New York City.” No fights broke out but after slightly stalking a NYC Police Officer he agreed to take a picture with us. The great NYC officer even let Surya wear his cover.
