They are one of those couples that we were instantly drawn to. Put aside the fact that both are gorgeous beyond words and have the sweetest personalities. They are funny, witty and so, so, so in love. We were elated to kick off Jalpa and Gaine’s engagement session at the beautiful Brookside Gardens in Maryland. Butterflies were literally fluttering as Jalpa and Gaine sauntered through the fragrant gardens during that May evening. We laughed, shared wedding planning stories and dodged geese as we posed our couple throughout the gardens.
After a quick outfit change we moved over to the FDR Memorial, the location of their very first date and more importantly, where Gaine proposed to Jalpa! As we walked up to the monument with the cobble stone bricks beneath our feet. Jalpa began to instantly smile, she held on to Gaine’s hand ever so tightly and recasted the story of how Gaine proposed. They darted smiles back and forth talked about their wonderful relationship.
It was our first time at the memorial, and honestly we were blown away. The website simply does not do the FDR justice. The fountains, lighting and atmosphere screamed romance. It was no wonder Gaine wanted to propose to Jalpa here. There is nothing more romantic than photographing a couple madly in love at the monuments at dusk.
Jalpa and Gaine, from the moment we met, we felt like we were old friends. You ease into conversations, you’re warm, and you make any room you’re in glow with the certainty of love. We are so excited to photograph your fabulous wedding and we hope you love the images as much as we do!
